There’s more rats in Las Vegas now than ever before. The colder it gets the more these little varmints want to get inside of your house. In Las Vegas we have roof rats these guys live the same lifestyle as a squirrel so you’ll see them in trees, you’ll see them running on block walls, you’ll see them running even on powerlines. The colder it gets the more these little varmints want to get inside of your house. So it is crucial to be sure there is no trees or Over hang touching your roof. Anything touching your roof will only become a ladder and an entry point to your house. When it comes to roof rats you won’t see them you’ll hear them. They’ll get in your house from the attic and chew anything up there to pieces. I’ve see at LOT of broken AC units In my line of work. I’ve even seen torn up sentimental like photo albums. So what do I do as a pest-control professional to stop these rats. The first thing I do is an exclusion on the house. We seal any holes or entry points to the home. These rats got to be getting in from somewhere right? After we are confident that your home is excluded I bring a whole bunch LOL of snap traps in the attic. And then I bring an appropriate amount of bait boxes for the outside. You never want to put bait inside of your home if we kill a rat in that house it must be bagged and brought out. You never want to have a rat Die from bait inside the house you will have an odor that is just awful it will make you want to move. So if you want to protect the investment of your home this must be done the right way The first time. Then we come back and check those snap traps every week or even a couple times a week at first until your rat problem is gone. This is the most effective and professional way to handle any rat problem.
